Description
The Fredericksburg Savings Charitable Foundation Fund is administered by the Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region. It supports not-for-profit programs and projects that improve quality of life in Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania and Stafford counties and the City of Fredericksburg. Its broad interests include community development, housing assistance, scholarships, local education, medical facilities, community groups, cultural organizations and similar civic-minded work. All grants provide organizational support.
The fund continues the charitable work of the former private foundation, which transferred more than $13 million in assets to the Community Foundation in January 2021. Funding is competitive, with preference for proposals demonstrating responsible stewardship, inspiration, productive collaboration, visionary leadership and accountability through clear goals and measurable community impact.
