This award provides an opportunity for U.S. scholars in the arts, humanities, and social sciences to conduct independent research in France. Grantees may affiliate with any French research center or higher education institution, including those in metropolitan France and overseas regions. The program encourages collaboration with French colleagues, participation in local academic events, and public engagement through talks and mentorship. Scholars at all career stages—including recent PhDs, established academics, and professionals from outside academia—are welcome to apply.
