Description
This Fulbright Scholar award supports a flexible combination of teaching and research at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) in Austria. Funded by the two institutions, it focuses on arts management, economics of arts, arts/culture economics, entrepreneurial education in the arts, the value of arts amenities, and legal issues in cultural management.
Teaching serves diploma, master’s, and PhD students. Course content and research objectives are agreed with the hosts according to institutional needs and the scholar’s interests and expertise. Activities include research, student advising or mentoring, and potentially joint faculty projects and publications. The award also advances Fulbright’s goal of mutual understanding between Austria and the United States through academic collaboration, public talks, and engagement with the host community.
