Description
The Fulbright AUKUS Scholar Award supports up to four U.S. scholars pursuing research at higher-education or research institutions in both Australia and the United Kingdom. Its interdisciplinary, collaborative model brings together diverse scholarly perspectives to advance innovation, inform policy, and address challenges affecting the trilateral partners, the Indo-Pacific, and the wider world. Projects must clearly connect the UK and Australia within the AUKUS framework and support a more secure, peaceful, and sustainable Indo-Pacific future.
All appropriate specializations are welcome. Particular interests include international maritime security, nuclear deterrence, nuclear waste management, maritime law and technologies, ethics of artificial intelligence and autonomous capabilities, cyber and information security, quantum technologies, and diplomatic history. Alongside research, the Fulbright Scholar Program promotes international understanding through scholarly exchange and engagement with host communities.
