The Fulbright Australia, United Kingdom, United States (AUKUS) Scholar Award funds up to four U.S. scholars to pursue interdisciplinary, collaborative research projects in both the UK and Australia, with a minimum of three months in each country and a total duration of six to nine months (consecutive or split via Flex option). The award aims to foster innovation and cooperation among the AUKUS partners, advancing research and policy in areas such as maritime security, nuclear deterrence, nuclear waste management, maritime law and technologies, ethics of AI and autonomy, cyber/information security, quantum technologies, and diplomatic history. Scholars are expected to engage with host communities through public talks, mentoring, and outreach, and must secure invitation letters from relevant host institutions in both countries.
