Description
The Australian-American Fulbright Commission awards up to six General Category master's scholarships annually through Fulbright Australia. The awards support master's degree study and research in any discipline at host institutions anywhere in the United States, for one or two academic years. Supported programs should enhance Australia–U.S. bilateral relations and embody the mission of the Fulbright program and Commission.
The scholarship combines financial support with cultural exchange, institutional placement assistance, and Commission guidance before and during the program. Its aims include binational research collaboration, cultural understanding, and the exchange of ideas. Applicants do not need a confirmed U.S. university place when applying; successful degree-seeking candidates work with the Institute of International Education (IIE) to coordinate university applications and seek tuition reductions or waivers.
