Description
This Fulbright U.S. Scholar award supports a four-month teaching and research exchange at Portalegre Polytechnic University’s School of Technology, Management and Design, Department of Technologies, in Portugal. The recipient conducts a host-designated research project and delivers lectures, seminars, and subject modules totaling 192 teaching hours for bachelor’s and master’s students in Computer Engineering and Informatics. Activities also include student advising and mentoring and contributions to faculty, curriculum, or program development.
The award covers Computer Science, Engineering, and Information Sciences/Systems, with particular interest in computer engineering, computer networking, the Internet of Things, and machine learning. The Fulbright Commission Portugal seeks accomplished candidates who can advance their fields and foster long-term collaboration. Academic work is complemented by engagement with the host community to strengthen relationships and mutual understanding between the United States and Portugal.
