Description
The Fulbright Award for Research in Eastern France supports research projects of the applicant’s choosing at universities and research centers throughout Grand Est. Offered through the Fulbright Scholar Program and supported by the Franco-American Fulbright Commission, it particularly welcomes projects addressing digital, industrial, environmental/energy transition, and health priorities. The region’s research strengths include the University of Strasbourg’s recognized excellence and the University of Lorraine’s engineering-focused research cluster.
The award combines research with Fulbright’s mission of strengthening relationships between people in the United States and other countries and promoting international understanding and cooperation. Beyond their primary research, scholars may be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and engage with their host communities. Applicants may propose an appropriate host within the region.
