This award provides an opportunity for accomplished U.S. scholars to spend four months at BOKU University (University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences), Vienna, Austria. The visiting professor will engage in a flexible combination of teaching and research, including teaching at least two courses in their area of specialization, supervising graduate students, and possibly advising or co-supervising PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows. Scholars are encouraged to contribute to BOKU’s core areas such as ecosystem management, agricultural production, biotechnology, renewable materials, landscapes and infrastructure, and social dynamics. Public engagement, student mentoring, and fostering international understanding are integral to the award’s objectives.
