    Description

The Fulbright-Botstiber Visiting Professorship is jointly run by the Botstiber Institute for Austrian-American Studies (BIAAS) and the Austrian-American Educational Commission / Fulbright Austria. Established in 2012, it supports visiting scholars whose work promotes understanding of the historic relationship between Austria and the United States. The program offers reciprocal opportunities for Austrian scholars at institutions in the United States and American scholars at institutions in Austria.

Awards combine lecturing and research, enabling scholars to engage students while contributing to their disciplines. The program particularly welcomes history, social sciences, economics, and law, alongside qualified proposals in other disciplines. Host faculty integrate visiting scholars into the curriculum, department, and institutional activities. Projects may also develop new institutional relationships or strengthen existing ones.
