Description
This Distinguished Scholar award supports teaching and teaching/research at Charles University in the Czech Republic. Co-financed by the Fulbright Commission and the host institution, it offers senior academics opportunities for research cooperation, curriculum development, and academic exchange. Projects are welcome across disciplines offered by Charles University, with scholars pursuing research and courses in their areas of specialization.
Scholars teach one or two advanced undergraduate or graduate courses weekly, with a maximum teaching load of three hours per week. They also advise or mentor students, consult with faculty, and engage in research collaboration. The award advances Fulbright’s mission of strengthening relationships between people in the United States and other countries and promoting international understanding. Scholars may also be asked to give public talks and engage with the host community.
