This award provides U.S. scholars with the opportunity to conduct research or a combination of teaching and research at CY Cergy Paris Université and/or ESSEC Business School, located just outside Paris, France. Scholars collaborate with colleagues at these institutions and may engage with other members of the CY Alliance, which includes schools of art and architecture. The CY Initiative, recognized as a French Initiative of Excellence, brings together 26 research units with strengths in fields such as physics, mathematics, economics, computer science, heritage science, biology, chemistry, engineering, environmental science, humanities, geography, education, law, and political science.
Awardees are integrated into a vibrant academic community, benefit from regular conferences and networking opportunities, and are encouraged to engage with the host community through public talks, mentoring, and outreach. Scholars are hosted at CY Advanced Studies, the institute for advanced research at CY Initiative.
