Fulbright Denmark, the Danish-American Fulbright Commission, supports self-planned research and teaching stays at U.S. universities across all academic fields. Visiting scholar grants serve Danish assistant professors, associate professors, professors, and postdoctoral scholars. Each stay must combine research and teaching, strengthening academic exchange between Denmark and the United States while giving scholars opportunities to engage with a new culture.
The program seeks outstanding academic performance, leadership potential, and a commitment to mutual understanding. Grantees are expected to act as cultural ambassadors of Denmark and engage with their host communities. Fulbright Denmark provides advice throughout the process, including a pre-departure meeting, and encourages lasting collaboration and connections through the worldwide Fulbright community.
