Fulbright Denmark offers 10 Open Study/Research Awards for an academic year of full-time master’s-level study or PhD research in Denmark. The program supports combined study and research, guest enrollment, or the first year of a Danish master’s degree. Graduating seniors and bachelor’s-degree holders may apply for master’s-level enrollment. All fields are welcome, with priority given to life sciences, space, and environmental responsibility or sustainable practices, including Arctic studies.
The program seeks outstanding academic performance alongside active contributions to mutual understanding between the United States and Denmark. Recipients are expected to engage with their host communities as cultural ambassadors. An Arctic Semester option combines study at Aarhus University’s Arctic Research Centre with classes and field experience at the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources in Nuuk.
