The Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Advanced (Defence) Science and Technology is a prestigious opportunity for senior U.S. researchers to spend 5–6 months in Australia working within the Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG). The program aims to foster collaborative research in DSTG’s priority areas—such as hypersonics, directed energy, trusted autonomy, quantum technology, information warfare, and long-range fires—while strengthening educational, cultural, and institutional ties between Australia and the United States. Appointed Distinguished Chairs will conduct their own research projects, engage with DSTG staff through lectures and seminars, and explore opportunities for long-term collaboration.
