Description
This Fulbright Distinguished Chair award, funded by the Australian Government’s Defence, Science and Technology Group (DSTG), supports one outstanding U.S. researcher undertaking a specific research project in Australia for five to six months. The Chair may be based at any DSTG site in Australia. Projects should address DSTG research priorities, although other relevant proposals may also be considered.
Alongside research, the Chair is expected to engage DSTG personnel through occasional guest lectures or seminars and explore long-term collaborations and institutional linkages. Applications must demonstrate plans for these activities and support Fulbright’s objectives of mutual understanding through educational and cultural exchange, international cooperation, and stronger Australia–U.S. relations.
