Description
The Fulbright Scholar Program supports a scholar’s research project at Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS) in São Leopoldo, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The host seeks interaction with a multidisciplinary research group working in education, linguistics, design, and technology, with social innovation also identified as an area of interest. Applicants may propose research alone or combine research with teaching, limited to three hours weekly.
The award advances Fulbright’s mission of strengthening relationships between people in the United States and other nations through international understanding and cooperation. Beyond their research, scholars may be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and engage with the host community. Distinguished Scholars can also participate in the Fulbright Interdisciplinary Network, connecting with faculty and students across six Brazilian universities.
