Description
The Fulbright-FAPESP Network Distinguished Scholar Awards support research or combined teaching and research at six public universities in Brazil’s state of São Paulo. Established through a partnership between the Fulbright Commission and Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP), the network promotes innovative partnerships, educational exchange, and long-term U.S.–Brazil institutional relationships. Areas of interest include biotechnology, food safety, energy transition, and agriculture 4.0.
Scholars may pursue their own research, collaborate with Brazilian colleagues, guest-lecture, mentor students, and engage with faculty and the wider community. Online and onsite seminars, conferences, and roundtable discussions across the network encourage dialogue about strategic U.S.-related topics within Brazilian society and share those discussions with broader audiences.
