Description
These Fulbright Distinguished Scholar Awards provide pre-arranged affiliations for exceptional U.S. scholars to conduct research relevant to six Brazilian partner universities. Scholars pursue their own projects, collaborate with Brazilian colleagues, and engage with students, faculty, and the wider community. All disciplines are considered when the research aligns with a host university’s identified interests, spanning international relations, governance, law, politics, sustainability, technology, and public policy.
Awardees may participate in the Fulbright Interdisciplinary Network (FIN), sponsored by the Fulbright Commission in Brazil and the U.S. Embassy in Brazil. Through online and in-person seminars, conferences, and roundtables, FIN promotes dialogue on U.S.-related topics, innovative partnerships, bilateral educational ties, and long-term institutional relationships. Guest lectures, mentoring, networking, and community engagement complement the research.
