Description
The Fulbright Scholar Program supports a three-month teaching and research placement in the University of Trento’s Department of Industrial Engineering. Activities comprise 70% research and 30% teaching, combining collaboration with departmental faculty with advanced lectures, seminars, or courses for master’s and doctoral students. Research may reflect mutual interests with the department or a project of the scholar’s choosing. The exchange also promotes international understanding and cooperation.
Strategic interests include active and smart materials, flexible electronics, soft robotics, and mobile and industrial robotics, but proposals in other engineering areas are considered. Engineering and materials science are the listed disciplines, including bioengineering, mechanics, mechatronics, and electronic and electrical engineering. The department develops materials, structures, processes, and integrated intelligent mechanical and electronic systems supporting technological innovation. Experimental laboratory research is highly encouraged, subject to agreement with laboratory supervisors.
