Description
This opportunity supports early career academics from the United States to undertake a 3-month research and teaching appointment at the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Trento, Italy. The position is designed to be 70% research and 30% teaching, with the teaching component involving advanced-level lectures and seminars for master's and doctoral students in fields such as materials engineering, mechatronics, management and industrial systems engineering, bioengineering, and data science. Research topics are flexible and can be tailored to the scholar’s expertise and interests, ideally in collaboration with departmental faculty.
The Department of Industrial Engineering is a multidisciplinary and internationally recognized unit, emphasizing innovation in materials, electronics, mechatronics, and biomedical engineering. Scholars will have access to modern laboratories, international research projects, and a collaborative academic environment. Engagement with students through mentoring and thesis advising is encouraged, as is integration into the university and local community.
