Description
This Fulbright Scholar award supports four months of research in Portugal, with up to six recipients. Scholars undertake a research program agreed with a Portuguese host institution, pursuing their own project or one designated by the host. All disciplines are welcome, including scientific, qualitative, quantitative, practice-based, and artistic research. Work may develop new knowledge or creative works through laboratory, field, archival, or other research activities.
The Fulbright Commission in Portugal seeks accomplished candidates who can advance their fields and foster long-term collaborations. Alongside research, scholars advise or mentor students and contribute to faculty, curriculum, or program development. They may also give public talks and engage with the host community, supporting Fulbright’s mission of international understanding and cooperation.
