Description
This visiting professorship, funded by FH JOANNEUM University of Applied Sciences through the Fulbright Scholar Program, supports a flexible combination of teaching and research in Austria. Work centers on the university’s Information, Design, and Technology degree programs, with listed disciplines including computer science, engineering, information sciences/systems, and social work. The scholar works at Graz, Kapfenberg, or Bad Gleichenberg, depending on discipline.
Course content and research objectives are agreed with the host institution, balancing its needs with the scholar’s interests and expertise. Activities include undergraduate or graduate teaching, student advising or mentoring, and host-designated research, with opportunities to develop joint projects with faculty. The award advances mutual understanding between Austria and the United States and strengthens institutional relationships. Scholars may also be asked to give public talks and engage with the host community.
