Key Information: Previous recipients of any Fulbright Finland Foundation grant and Foundation staff are ineligible.
Description
The Fulbright Finland Foundation runs and fully sponsors this program to help representatives of Finnish higher education institutions build lasting partnerships with U.S. institutions. Visits can support student, staff, and faculty mobility, joint or dual degree programs, and course or curriculum collaboration. Activities may include making contacts, launching or piloting collaborative projects, negotiating partnership agreements, or extending existing cooperation into new areas.
Founded in 2018 in response to feedback from Finnish higher education institutions, the program supports in-person meetings that develop collaboration and mobility. Applicants must also explain how they will share information about Fulbright Finland Foundation opportunities at their home and host institutions. Teaching or research cannot be the visit’s primary purpose, and conference attendance alone is not supported. The program operates outside the U.S. State Department-sponsored Fulbright program.
