Description
The Fulbright Finland Foundation funds short research visits from Finland to the United States. Each proposed visit must advance the applicant’s research, initiate or deepen cooperation between a Finnish home institution and a U.S. host, and share information about Fulbright Finland grant opportunities at both institutions. Activities may include conducting research, developing contacts or collaborative projects, and attending conventions or conferences; conference attendance alone is not sufficient.
Researchers in all fields may apply. The Foundation particularly encourages work on current or global challenges, including governance and wellbeing, shared environments, emerging technologies and hybrid threats, and migration and humanitarian crises. The program responds to Finnish higher education institutions’ need for short-term collaboration funding and greater awareness of Finnish–U.S. exchange opportunities.
