Description
This program provides short-term travel grants for researchers and doctoral students based in Finland to visit U.S. institutions for periods of one week to three months. The grant is designed to advance the applicant’s research objectives, foster new or deepen existing collaborations between Finnish and U.S. institutions, and promote awareness of Fulbright Finland Foundation opportunities. Activities supported include collaborative research, networking, launching joint projects, attending conferences (not as the sole purpose), and sharing information about Fulbright programs. The program especially encourages proposals addressing global challenges such as governance, wellbeing, sustainability, emerging technologies, and humanitarian issues. Grantees are expected to act as ambassadors for their home institution, Finland, and the Fulbright Finland Foundation.
