    Description

    This grant enables experienced U.S. professionals and academics in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) to contribute to capacity building at Mexican higher education institutions. Grantees may teach undergraduate and graduate courses (with an emphasis on teacher training), conduct professional development for English language instructors, assist in curriculum and program development, and participate in community engagement and academic advising. For those combining teaching and research, up to 40% of time may be dedicated to research related to language or the applicant’s area of specialization. Final activities and placements are determined in collaboration with the Fulbright Commission in Mexico (COMEXUS) and host institutions, with most placements outside Mexico City to maximize national impact.
