This award funds U.S. scholars to serve as the Fulbright-García Robles U.S. Studies Chair at select Mexican universities. Grantees teach up to three undergraduate or graduate courses in English (one may be substituted for graduate student advising) and are expected to build binational collaborations, mentor Mexican students, and participate in public engagement activities. The program aims to deepen knowledge of U.S. history, politics, and culture while strengthening academic ties and dialogue between the U.S. and Mexico. Placement is managed by the Fulbright Commission in Mexico (COMEXUS), which matches scholars to host institutions based on institutional needs and candidate profiles. Projects are welcome in all disciplines related to U.S. society, politics, and culture.
