Description
Jointly funded by Hanken School of Economics and the Fulbright Finland Foundation, this Distinguished Chair supports research and guest lecturing at Hanken’s Helsinki or Vaasa campuses. Scholars conduct research in their specialization and contribute to knowledge sharing with academia and the corporate world. Teaching takes place in degree programs and Executive Education, and Hanken prefers applicants who combine teaching and research.
The Chair and Hanken faculty jointly design activities within the school’s research-intensive environment. Scholars may mentor students, assist with faculty or curriculum development, and pursue applicant-designed or host-designated courses and research. The program also encourages networking throughout Finland and occasional guest lectures at other Finnish universities, strengthening institutional connections and mutual understanding between Finland and the United States.
