Description
The Fulbright-Hanken Distinguished Chair supports research and teaching at Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki or Vaasa, Finland. Jointly funded by Hanken and the Fulbright Finland Foundation, the award enables scholars to conduct research in their specialization, teach in degree programs and Executive Education, and share knowledge with academia and the corporate world. Hanken prefers applicants who combine teaching and research, with activities designed collaboratively with departmental faculty.
The award welcomes projects in accounting/finance, business, economics, information sciences/systems, law, and marketing. Particular interests include commercial and intellectual property law, entrepreneurship, management and organization, statistics, and supply chain management and social responsibility. Scholars may mentor students or assist with faculty, curriculum, and program development. They are encouraged to build connections across Finland and give occasional guest lectures at other Finnish universities, advancing Fulbright’s goals of international understanding and cooperation.
