Description
Funded by Johannes Kepler University Linz and administered in Austria by Fulbright Austria, this visiting professorship supports a flexible combination of teaching and research at the university’s Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics and Business. Expertise is sought for bachelor’s and master’s programs, particularly in methodology, research methods, and decision-making.
Scholars conduct host-designated research and teach undergraduate or graduate courses, with course content and format negotiated around departmental needs and the scholar’s expertise. The teaching commitment includes at least two 90-minute class sessions and may include advising advanced students. Joint research with the host department is welcomed. The award promotes Austrian-American mutual understanding and institutional cooperation; public talks, mentoring, and host-community engagement may complement the primary academic activities.
