Description
This Fulbright U.S. Scholar award supports one mid-career or senior academic for three months at the University of Salerno, Italy. Scholars combine teaching and research with graduate and doctoral mentoring, thesis guidance, and contributions to curriculum or interdisciplinary program development. Research may follow host-designated initiatives or an independent proposal developed with local faculty and research centers. The exchange aims to strengthen academic collaboration and mutual understanding between the United States and Italy.
Priority interests include artificial intelligence, energy transition and environmental sustainability, digital health and biotechnology, cybersecurity and data protection, smart cities and sustainable mobility, sustainable agriculture, and social innovation and digital inclusion. Teaching primarily serves PhD students through lectures, seminars, and workshops, with possible master's-level and partner-institution activities. Scholars may also engage other departments, local institutions, and the wider community.
