Description
The Fulbright-LUISS Research Lectureship supports a four-month teaching and research placement at Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome. Grant activity is 70% research and 30% teaching, with one or two undergraduate or graduate courses taught through lectures and seminars. Course content reflects the scholar’s specialization, with the syllabus agreed with the hosting department.
The university encourages joint research with Luiss professors and partnerships with scholars’ home institutions. Scholars also advise or mentor students, contribute to faculty, curriculum, or program development, and may participate in seminars, doctoral lectures, conferences, and academic meetings. Alongside its academic goals, the lectureship advances Fulbright’s mission of strengthening relationships between the United States and other countries through international understanding and engagement with the host community.
