Description
The Fulbright-Masaryk University Distinguished Scholar award supports teaching and academic collaboration at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. Offered through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program and co-financed by the Czech Fulbright Commission and the university, it welcomes projects in all fields offered by Masaryk University. Up to two scholars receive three- to four-month awards.
Scholars teach advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in English, consult on curriculum development, discuss their specialization with faculty, and advise or mentor students. The teaching load is a maximum of two courses (maximum three hours) per week. Research cooperation is expected, but should not be proposed as a separate grant activity. The exchange promotes international understanding through academic engagement and may also include public talks and activities with the host community.
