This award supports a four-month teaching and research residency for U.S. scholars at NAWI Graz, a partnership between Graz University of Technology and the University of Graz in Austria. The selected scholar will teach two advanced undergraduate or graduate courses (format and content negotiated with the host), engage in student advising and collaborative research, and is encouraged to organize at least one extracurricular student networking activity. The program is designed to promote academic exchange and deepen ties between the U.S. and Austria in the natural sciences, including biology, chemistry, environmental sciences, geology, mathematics, and physics. Scholars are also expected to participate in public talks, mentoring, and broader community engagement.
