The Fulbright-Nehru Distinguished Scholar Award supports eminent U.S. academics and professionals to spend four months at Indian institutions, engaging in research, teaching, or a combination of both. The award is open to all disciplines, with special encouragement for projects related to critical minerals, supply chains, defense, energy security, science and research collaboration, space, and technology. Scholars may collaborate on curriculum development, institutional initiatives, and academic leadership, and are encouraged to engage in outreach, mentoring, and public talks to further the Fulbright mission of mutual understanding and partnership between the U.S. and India.
