Description
This Fulbright Scholar award supports a flexible combination of teaching and research at Paracelsus Medical University (PMU) in Salzburg, Austria. Sponsored by PMU through the Fulbright Scholar Program, it supports teaching bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students, advising advanced students, developing joint faculty research, and contributing to jointly written research papers. Course content and research objectives are agreed with the university to reflect its needs and the scholar’s expertise.
Project specializations include neuroscience, oncology, immunology, allergic and musculoskeletal diseases, biomechanics, sports medicine, metabolic diseases, pharmacy, regenerative medicine, rehabilitation research, nursing sciences, and disaster medical care. PMU’s research includes novel therapies and regenerative medicine, alongside public health and health services research. The exchange aims to strengthen institutional relationships and promote mutual understanding and cooperation between Austria and the United States.
