Description
This Fulbright Scholar award, funded by Paris Lodron University of Salzburg, supports a flexible combination of teaching and research at its Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences in Austria. The visiting professor teaches two classes within diploma, bachelor’s, and master’s programs, with content and level agreed with the host. Activities also include presenting research to advanced students and faculty, joining workshops and seminars with neighboring universities, and participating in joint research projects.
The faculty’s empirical focus encompasses humans, nature, and their complex interactions, addressing societal questions through interdisciplinary research. Its priorities include tumor biology and immunology and cognitive neuroscience. The award seeks academics whose teaching excellence and established interdisciplinary research agenda complement the faculty, while strengthening Austrian-American understanding, cooperation, and institutional relationships.
