Description
Funded by Deakin University through the Fulbright Scholar Program, this scholarship supports one U.S. postdoctoral scholar undertaking a research project of their choosing in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The exchange lasts six to ten months and welcomes all disciplines. Projects must demonstrate high academic quality, align with Deakin’s research strengths, and enhance U.S.–Australia bilateral relations. Research may include scientific, qualitative, quantitative, applied, or practice-based work, including artistic research.
The scholarship also advances Fulbright’s mission of international understanding and cooperation through educational exchange. Beyond their primary research, scholars may be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and engage with the host community. Deakin combines research and teaching with a focus on serving communities.
