Description
The Australian-American Fulbright Commission awards these postdoctoral scholarships through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program. Scholars conduct a research project of their choosing in Australia, in any discipline, with the aim of enhancing bilateral relations and promoting international understanding and cooperation. Supported approaches include scientific, qualitative, quantitative, and practice-based research, including artistic research. Projects may be experimental, clinical, or applied.
Applicants propose an appropriate Australian host institution. Settings include universities, research centers, think tanks, museums, galleries, conservatoriums, and relevant professional or nonprofit institutions. Research may evaluate or develop knowledge, methods, policies, systems, or creative works. Alongside their research, scholars may be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and engage with their host communities.
