This prestigious award enables experienced U.S. scholars to engage in collaborative research and academic exchange at the University of Eastern Finland’s Faculty of Health Sciences. While all health sciences fields are eligible, priority is given to projects in cardiovascular diseases, metabolic diseases, or neuroscience. The Distinguished Chair is expected to work closely with UEF faculty to design research and teaching activities, mentor doctoral students, and participate in the vibrant academic community at UEF and Kuopio University Hospital. The program aims to foster international partnerships and advance research using cutting-edge approaches in molecular biology, genetics, nutrition, and translational medicine.
