Description
This grant, offered through a partnership between the Fulbright Finland Foundation, the University of Eastern Finland, and the Saastamoinen Foundation, enables U.S. scholars to undertake research and teaching in health and environmental sciences at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF). The program is designed to foster international academic collaboration and knowledge exchange, supporting visits of 5 to 9 months (with a Flex option for split stays). Scholars contribute to teaching, research, and academic life at UEF, engaging with multidisciplinary departments and research units.
Eligible research and teaching can be conducted in a wide range of UEF units, including health sciences, environmental and biological sciences, pharmacy, nursing science, forest sciences, law, social sciences, and related interdisciplinary research centers. Priority is given to projects in water research, forests and bioeconomy, and neuroscience, but other topics within the eligible units are welcome.
