This program provides an opportunity for U.S. scholars to engage in research and teaching at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) in health and environmental sciences. The grant emphasizes multidisciplinary projects and collaboration, particularly in water research, forests and bioeconomy, and neuroscience. Scholars may be hosted by a range of faculties and research units, including the Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Science and Forestry, Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies, and associated research institutes. The program is jointly funded by the Fulbright Finland Foundation, Saastamoinen Foundation, and UEF, and is designed to foster knowledge exchange, professional development, and international academic networks.
