Description
The Fulbright Scholar Program, working with the Malaysian-American Commission on Educational Exchange (MACEE), supports research, teaching, combined teaching/research, and professional or artistic projects in Malaysia. Scholars may pursue their own research or host-designated projects, teach undergraduate or graduate courses, mentor students, and contribute to faculty, curriculum, or program development. The award aims to strengthen U.S.–Malaysia relationships through scholarship, community engagement, and international understanding.
Projects are welcomed in all disciplines, including STEM, business administration, public health, education, anthropology, environmental studies, agriculture, forestry, tropical ecology, Southeast Asian history and society, cultural studies, media and information technology, and Islamic studies. Combined teaching/research projects typically allocate 60% to research and 40% to teaching, with the balance arranged with the host institution.
