This award enables U.S. scholars to undertake research, teaching, or a combination of both in the Philippines, in partnership with the Philippine Space Agency and local academic or research institutions. The focus is on space science and technology applications, space policy, and related fields. Awardees may direct graduate theses, advise on curriculum and program development, and lead seminars or workshops. Preference is given to projects that involve close collaboration with local scholars and institutions, and grantees may be invited to lecture at other Philippine organizations. The program aims to strengthen the Philippines' capabilities in space science, foster international collaboration, and build a robust domestic space ecosystem.
