Description

The Fulbright Scholar Program’s Philippine Space Agency award supports research and combined teaching and research in space science and technology applications, space policy, and other space-related fields. Scholars work with pertinent Philippine government bodies, universities, and research institutions. Research involving collaboration with local scholars receives preference, and applicants are encouraged to affiliate with universities outside Metro Manila.

Scholars may undertake their own research or a host-designated project, teach undergraduate or graduate courses, direct graduate theses, and advise on curriculum, program, and faculty development. They may also conduct workshops and seminars or lecture at other Philippine institutions. Alongside these academic activities, the award advances Fulbright’s mission of strengthening relationships between people in the United States and other nations through international understanding, cooperation, and engagement with host communities.
