Description
Funded by the University of Wollongong through the Fulbright Scholar Program, this award supports outstanding U.S. academics undertaking research of mutual benefit to Australia and the United States. Up to two scholars spend four months at the university in Wollongong, New South Wales, conducting a research project of their choosing. Projects are welcomed in all disciplines, including scientific, qualitative, quantitative, practice-based, and artistic research.
The exchange also advances Fulbright’s mission of strengthening relationships between people in the United States and other nations and promoting international understanding and cooperation. Alongside their primary research, scholars may be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and engage with the host community. The award is a research exchange rather than a teaching award, and does not offer Flex visits or a multi-country option.
