Description
The Fulbright Scholar Awards (General Category) support research and professional or artistic projects in Australia across all disciplines. Offered through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program, these awards enable experienced academics and professionals to pursue projects of their choosing at appropriate Australian institutions. Research may be scientific, qualitative, quantitative, or practice-based, including artistic research, with the aim of evaluating or developing new knowledge or works. Professional projects may involve consultations, exchanges of expertise, artist residencies, mentoring, exhibitions, performances, or publications.
The program also promotes international understanding and stronger relationships between the United States and Australia. Applicants should describe plans to collaborate with host faculty and students through curriculum consultation, seminars, guest lectures, or workshops. Scholars may also be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and engage with the host community.
