    Description

    This award places a U.S. Fulbright Scholar with Kosovo’s key energy institutions—KEK J.S.C. (Kosovo Energy Corporation) and KOSTT J.S.C. (Transmission System and Market Operator)—to provide applied expertise in energy transition, system flexibility, and regional electricity market integration. The Scholar will advise on coal gasification pathways, transition-compatible technologies, balancing services, and cross-border cooperation aligned with European standards. Activities include targeted workshops, technical briefings, strategic documentation, professional advisory or policy-applied research projects, institutional development, seminars, and mentoring of technical and policy staff. The focus is on addressing operational and policy challenges in Kosovo's evolving energy sector.
