    Description

    This Fulbright U.S. Scholar award enables one researcher or academic to collaborate with the Department of Journalism at the University of Prishtina, the Press Council of Kosovo, and the Independent Media Commission. The scholar will conduct research and teaching activities focused on media resilience in Kosovo, including countering anti-U.S. narratives, promoting press freedom, advancing media regulation, and addressing online harm. Additional activities include public seminars, professional training for media regulators and civil society, sharing best practices on editorial independence and digital safety, and mentoring students in journalism and communication programs. The scholar may teach or co-teach courses on journalism, media ethics, media law, data journalism, investigative reporting, or countering adversarial propaganda, and develop specialized lectures and workshops on digital tools for fact-checking and verification.
