Description
The Fulbright-Scotland Distinguished Scholar Award supports six months of research or combined teaching and research at the University of Edinburgh’s Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH). Offered through the Fulbright Scholar Program and the US-UK Fulbright Commission, it welcomes projects across disciplines within the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Interdisciplinary applications in Decoloniality, Medical Humanities, Environmental Humanities and Digital Humanities are especially welcomed.
The scholar contributes to university life through research, seminars, public lectures and curriculum development. Activities may include student mentoring, undergraduate or graduate teaching, and professional or artistic projects. The university expects participation in lectures and research and staff seminars at both IASH and the host School. The exchange also seeks to strengthen international understanding through engagement with students, staff and the wider community.
