Description

The Fulbright Senior Scholar Award supports distinguished U.S. scholars undertaking research or combined teaching and research in Türkiye. Offered through the Fulbright Scholar Program with the Turkish Fulbright Commission, it welcomes projects across all disciplines at public or foundation universities, research centers, and other relevant institutions. Activities may include undergraduate or graduate teaching, student advising and mentoring, and faculty, curriculum, or program development.

The award emphasizes sharing expertise beyond the host institution and building community. Scholars are expected to make tangible contributions to their host institution and Türkiye, give public talks, mentor students, and engage with host-country partners through collaboration and learning. A central goal is to establish sustainable, long-term ties between home and host institutions while strengthening mutual understanding between people in the United States and Türkiye.
