The Fulbright Senior Scholar Award enables highly experienced U.S. academics and professionals (with at least 20 years in their field) to undertake research, teaching, or a combination of both at universities or research centers in Türkiye (Turkey). The program’s goal is to foster mutual understanding, strengthen academic collaboration, and build sustainable institutional partnerships between the U.S. and Turkish institutions. Awardees are expected to contribute significantly to their host institution and the broader community through public talks, mentoring, curriculum development, and other forms of engagement. Projects are welcomed in all disciplines, and grantees may propose their own host institution.
