Description

This Fulbright Scholar Program award supports research and teaching at Tampere University in Finland, jointly funded by the university and the Fulbright Finland Foundation. Scholars conduct a research project of their choosing and teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in a field represented at the university. Its seven faculties cover information technology and communication sciences, management and business, education and culture, medicine and health technology, the built environment, engineering and natural sciences, and social sciences.

The award promotes international understanding, cooperation, and lasting relationships between people in the United States and Finland. Scholars may also be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and engage with the host community. Applicants are encouraged to design their activities collaboratively with a host department, faculty, or research program.
