This award provides U.S. scholars with the opportunity to conduct research and teach in any discipline represented at Tampere University, Finland’s most multidisciplinary institution. Scholars may work within any of the university’s seven faculties, collaborating with host departments to design their activities. The program is jointly funded by Tampere University and the Fulbright Finland Foundation, and includes comprehensive support such as orientation, housing, work facilities, and professional development opportunities. Grantees also act as cultural ambassadors, strengthening academic and societal ties between Finland and the United States.
