Description
The Fulbright-Turku UAS Scholar Award supports teaching and applied research in business administration, engineering, and technology at Turku University of Applied Sciences in Finland. Jointly funded by Turku UAS and the Fulbright Finland Foundation, it combines bachelor’s and master’s teaching with research, development, and innovation projects alongside university faculty. The detailed focus is developed with the scholar based on their expertise.
Teaching primarily serves master’s programs using problem-based learning, lectures, seminars, e-learning, and independent work in close cooperation with business. Applied research addresses development needs in industry and other organizations. Scholars may also mentor students and contribute to faculty, curriculum, or program development. The exchange aims to strengthen U.S.–Finnish relationships and promote international understanding and cooperation.
